About Eric

A native of West Virginia. Yes, I miss those gorgeous mountains every day!

My wife and I met on a blind date.

Bonus-Dad to two incredible sons.

I am privileged to provide IT and marketing support to WholeHeart Counseling Services. Owned and operated by my wife, Charlena, WholeHeart provides Play Therapy, counseling for children, adolescents, and women.

Are you insured?

Yes, I carry a $1M liability insurance on photography and a separate $1M insurance policy on drone operations. Proof of insurance or a certificate of liability listed to your company can be provided on request.

Where are you based?

I hang my hat in Weatherford, Texas, a city west of Fort Worth known as the Cutting Horse Capital of the World.

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Absolutely! I've traveled extensively for work and will happily pack my bags for your shoot.

How do I book a shoot?

Head to the contact page. Answer a few quick questions, and I'll follow up. I'm excited to hear about your photoshoot.

What types of photography services do you offer?

Since 2002 I have focused on creating images for entrepreneurs, small businesses, publications, non-profits, and major corporations by providing Headshots, Portraits, Commercial Photography, Personal Branding Photography, Product Photography, Food Photography, and Editorial Photography, Drone Photography, and Video.

What are your hours? Do you work at night or over the weekend?

Photography occasionally sticks to a 9-5 schedule but not all the time. Whether it’s the middle of the night for an industrial setting or twilight hours for a portrait over the weekend, I strive to be available when your project needs me.

What gear do you use?

I use Canon cameras, Flashpoint lighting, DJI drones, macOS and iOS devices. I can be a geek about technology and gear and don't want to bore you with the details here, but I will happily share my equipment details if you want to know.

What is your turnaround time?

Depending on the number of selections to be delivered and the complexity of retouching needed, final images are typically delivered between two and seven days after receiving a list of choices. Let me know If you have a specific deadline for your images. I'll be happy to make plans to accommodate you.

Will I own the images?

Under the Federal Copyright Act of 1976, photographs are protected by copyright from creation. All images created by a photographer remain the exclusive property of the photographer unless the copyright is transferred. The photos I create and deliver are licensed for your specific use. A full buy-out typically costs as much as or more than the photoshoot, so most clients choose to use the provided license. However, if you are interested in a full buy-out of the images, I will be happy to discuss this with you.

Prices aren't listed on your website. Can I get a quote?

Most of my work is specific to a client's needs. I will be happy to prepare an estimate for you. I'll need some information to get started and may ask a few more questions to iron out specific details. Here's a list of some basic information to get us started:

• What is the date and location of your shoot?
• What type of images do you need? (Portraits, Headshots, Personal Branding, Commercial, Editorial, Food, Product, Drone, etc.)
• How will you be using the images? (Marketing, Communications, Advertisements, Social Media campaigns, etc.)
• Do you have an estimate of how many final images you need?

Can you scout the location of the photoshoot beforehand?

If possible, I will be happy to scout the location with you. A scout is often critical to the success of a photoshoot because it allows everyone involved to work through their ideas and expectations and see any potential opportunities and challenges. Choreographing the photoshoot is much easier when the details about the location are known.

What do I need to bring to the photoshoot?

Let's discuss the details of your photoshoot and sort out what we need. Each photoshoot is different and requires different things. For portraits and headshots, I'll ask you to bring additional outfits and things like hair and makeup products. For commercial shoots, it might be as simple as a list of restaurants to order lunch from or a ladder to shoot from. Other times the project may require something specific like a scissor lift.
A safe bet and something that is always appreciated - coffee!

Can I see images during the photoshoot?

Of course! Many clients love to be able to review images and make selections while we are still on set, so I transmit images to an iPad or laptop.

Can I see my images online?

Proof images from your photoshoot will be uploaded to a private gallery that is accessible from all of your devices.

I will need stylists and rentals. Can you make recommendations?

Since 2002 I have worked with many incredible production crews. I can bring in great hair/makeup stylists, wardrobe stylists, prop/interior stylists, and food stylists. I can also take care of location rentals, furniture rentals, vehicle rentals, and nearly anything else needed to create unique images for your vision.

Do you retouch my images?

From removing the reflection of a construction crane in the windows of corporate headquarters to reducing wrinkles in a portrait, retouching is one of the many tools I use to create great images. Sometimes it is as simple as making basic adjustments to the color and exposure of an image. Other times, extensive compositing and manipulation are necessary to create the image we envisioned. I do most of my retouching but also work with several incredibly talented retouchers for projects requiring very specialized skills.

What type of file will I receive?

My standard delivery includes JPG images in two separate resolutions: a high-resolution, 300ppi, RGB file ready for printing and a low-resolution, 72ppi, sRGB file for social media and Web use.
Please let me know if your images need specific dimensions or another file type, such as TIFF, PNG, or PSD.

How long does delivery take?

Depending on the number of selections to be delivered and the complexity of retouching needed, final images are typically delivered between two and seven days after receiving a list of choices. Let me know If you have a specific deadline for your images. I'll be happy to make plans to accommodate you.

How will images be delivered?

Your retouched images will be available to download as high-resolution JPGs through a private gallery. Your gallery will be accessible for at least 6 months. Please let me know if you need access for a longer period. If you or your team prefer services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box, I'll do my best to accommodate.
Delivery can also be made on a 1TB SSD by FedEx for $225.00 or on an SD card, which will be quoted depending on the card size needed.
