A Life Changing Ax-ident
In September 2017 my life was changed in an instant. I picked up an ax to cut down a tree and ended up making decisions that would allow me to survive severing two arteries.
Not only did my life change in some physical ways that day, I now consider that ax-ident one of the best things that has ever happened to me. The nature of my injury forced me to look at everything in my life and I am a better man because of it. Not a single day has passed that I haven’t experienced some kind of reminder of that day. My movement is sometimes limited and most of the time I walk with a limp because of the pain that moves around the wound, yet I live each day with gratitude.
My story changed that day and it is a story that I’ll never tire of telling because of the good that has come out of it. I‘m happier, healthier, and have a clearer understanding of who I am.
